巴茨瓦特电厂 is located inside a mountain at Lake Kobbvatn in Narvik Municipality in Nordland County.

The power plant uses 湖Øvre Kjørisvatnet and Lake Gautelisvatnet as reservoirs, utilising a maximum height of fall of 214 metres. The power plant has a Francis turbine. The water resources from this power plant are also used by Skjomen power plant, which lies further down in the same Skjoma watercourse.

The reception building at 巴茨瓦特电厂 was originally designed for the harsh climate on the exposed mountainside and to provide overnight accommodation in case of bad winter weather.
